Jennifer & John

Joyous! That would describe the day with Jennifer & John. Don’t get me wrong, weddings are generally happy occasions, but these two were uber-happy. Especially Jennifer, but she’s that way all the time anyway. The service was about sharing not only their vows but their love for Christ and his lordship in their lives. Thanks for that!

It was my 2nd trip (of three) to East 91st for the service. The reception was hosted by Meridian Hills Country Club. I was lucky enough to have Jason Girt of Creative Eye to hang around with all day. And Rick Eberle from DJ’s Direct made sure everyone was bumping all night.

This was classic. Jen had the dress on already and then they found this.

I love this, you know how when the bride & groom cut the cake they NEVER finish the piece. Well the maid of honor and best man decide to not let it go to waste!! They were the coolest MOH and BM – thanks for keeping it fun you two!

Cate & Ryan

There’s a lot to see and a lot to say about Cate & Ryan’s wedding. Even though they live in Chicago they were married here at SS. Peter & Paul Cathedral downtown. One of the benefits of attending the rehearsal and dinner is to get to know the family and friends of the couple. I have to say, these were some of the nicest and most gracious people to be around. The entire weekend was just a pleasure to take part in.

Casey Scott of Etcetera did a fab job with all the details, and made sure things rolled along all day. The reception was held in the Skyline Club atop the One America building downtown. Thanks to all who were involved and who made this a wonderful wedding.

After the rehearsal, everyone was whisked away by carriage to the Canterbury Hotel for dinner, dessert and….

…Cate’s Dad provided a little entertainment.

The next day, Ryan, his Dad and brother headed up to 4:59 a men’s barber lounge where they had their first straight razor shave.

The ladies, on the other hand, did the salon thing in Broad Ripple at Sign of the Tymes.

Helena shot with me and captured some fantastic shots with the ladies. Here’s one.

Helena got these great shots of Cate and her dad figuring out when they were supposed to “process“.

A family friend drove the couple around in a classic Mustang – it was awesome weather to ride along! Cate finally gets to check out Ryan’s shave – still smoooooth.

Cate’s explaining the significance of the hanky to Ryan – I love how they’re holding fingers!

The Skyline Club is an awesome venue that overlooks the city. Here are some details.

Once again the dances were emotional – Cate’s Dad and a family friend provided the music for Cate & Ryan’s first dance.  Below is a great moment during Cate & Ryan’s dance.  Later all Cate’s sisters came out to share Dad’s last Father-Daughter dance.

Kerry & Pat

Marriage couldn’t have happened to two nicer people!  You can really tell how much they care for each other and how much fun they’ll have together in life.  Thanks for letting us be there.

It was a beautiful ceremony at SS. Francis & Clare in Greenwood with the reception at The Country Club of Indianapolis.

This cracked me up.  How ’bout a little help bro.

fihe-blog-05.jpg

Kerry & Pat chose to see each other before the ceremony.  Here’s Kerry making her way to an emotional first meeting with Pat.

I think I’ll remember the dances most from this wedding.  Each dance was planned and totally amazing.  Kerry & Pat’s first.

Pat surprised his Mom as each of his brothers brought her a rose and danced with her a moment before letting her finish with Pat.
