Meredith & Andrew

Just to be clear, yes, I’m still blogging 2007 weddings – I’ll be sure to let you know when the new weddings start.

Meredith and Andrew were married last September. They are a couple of really down to earth people that just wanted to have a fun, relaxed, (short) wedding. We were able to spend some time downtown taking portraits, but mostly it was about letting them enjoy their day. It was great because their plans for the wedding reflected what they felt was important – family, friends, and fun. They were both extremely laid back all day and I think it helped them have a really enjoyable time. Thank you very much for letting me spend the day with you!

The wedding was at the White River Gardens at the Indianapolis Zoo, and was coordinated beautifully by Lisa Gorman and her staff at Memory Makers.

And he had this to give her.

Lisa Gorman actually officiated the ceremony. Andy and Meredith said they wanted the shortest ceremony on record and I think it was about 3.5 minutes long! If I’m exaggerating it’s not by much.

Ashley & Brandon

Brandon called me out of the blue and said he’d found me online and wanted to meet, and the rest is history. It’s not often the groom is the one to call but I’ve had other grooms contact me as well and it’s usually a good sign. Ashley and Brandon were married in Kendallville with the reception at Pokagon State Park. You could tell that they’re close with family and there’s a lot of love to go around. My impression was that the two of them understand what the priorities should be, and that’s awesome! They’re off to start their life adventure in Orlando. All the best!

We started at the salon, Ashley and her mom.

They decided to see each other before the ceremony and Brandon had a lot on his mind as he waited.

Passing through the basement, I noticed some of the family just waiting for the ceremony and the light was just perfect.

Yeah, that’s the way we roll.

I’m pretty sure Ashley was going to be a good sport about the whole thing even if it wasn’t exactly what she had in mind.

Luckily it was just a joke and there was a much nicer ride waiting around the corner.

Chris Rice

Chris Rice is going to be performing at DePauw on April 12th! I’ve been a fan for several years and I’m excited to see him live. My kids are excited to go since this is their first concert – yay! I don’t think he bites any small animals or anything so they should be ok.
