Just to be clear, yes, I’m still blogging 2007 weddings – I’ll be sure to let you know when the new weddings start.
Meredith and Andrew were married last September. They are a couple of really down to earth people that just wanted to have a fun, relaxed, (short) wedding. We were able to spend some time downtown taking portraits, but mostly it was about letting them enjoy their day. It was great because their plans for the wedding reflected what they felt was important – family, friends, and fun. They were both extremely laid back all day and I think it helped them have a really enjoyable time. Thank you very much for letting me spend the day with you!
The wedding was at the White River Gardens at the Indianapolis Zoo, and was coordinated beautifully by Lisa Gorman and her staff at Memory Makers.

Sharing a family heirloom handkerchief.

Meredith’s mom realizing the moment.

Helena spent the morning with the guys getting ready – cuff links.

Meredith’s dad gets to see her in her dress.

And he had this to give her.

I love these shots Helena made of the guys waiting, and the first meeting.

A goofy portrait

And a simple one of the wedding party.

The famous (at least for photographers) Green room at the Zoo. Getting veiled.

Waiting for the walk down the aisle

Lisa Gorman actually officiated the ceremony. Andy and Meredith said they wanted the shortest ceremony on record and I think it was about 3.5 minutes long! If I’m exaggerating it’s not by much.

Helena was up front to get this shot.

They had cocktails and appetizers in the Garden which is always a gorgeous location
